Budapest is bisected north to south by the Danube River. On the east bank is Buda and on the west bank Pest, thus, Budapest. Who knew? I certainly didn't. Another thing I hadn't known about was the fantastic website Airbnb.com which lists vacation rental properties. Dena and Brian had told us about it while we were in Prague. The first time we used it was in Budapest and got a tres chic rooftop apartment for around $50 a night. Bonus: our host Gabor was a terrific tour guide.
